It’s all about Jesus! Given that the above sentence (important as it is), is not enough to give you the complete picture; if you’re wondering about Christianity, the best way to have your questions answered is to talk to a Christian in person. You can come to one of our services and talk to our Senior Pastor, Craig; the other staff; or just about anybody! We’d be happy to chat with you.

However, if you want to read a little about Christianity first, please check out the Jesus section of our website, and of course, the Bible. There are many websites where you can read the Bible, as well as apps for your mobile device.

Sundays at 10:00am. You don’t have to arrive very early, 5-10 minutes is plenty of time but don’t worry if you’re late – no one will mind!

Usually between an hour and an hour and a quarter. For special services, this might be different.

We have a car park which can be entered off Emerald Drive. If that’s full, there’s a ramp at the end of the car park up to a grassed area which we also use for parking. There is also some street parking close to the church.

Off the car park, to the left as you drive in to park (down a flight of stairs or ramp). That is, the front door is on the opposite side of the building to what you’ll see as you drive past the church on Eagle Vale Drive. A ramp is available for disabled access.

Casual clothes are fine. We don’t wear suits, so dress in whatever you’ll feel comfortable in. People visiting for a baptism or thanksgiving services often dress up a little, but that’s really up to you.

No, but if you have your own it would be useful to have it with you. Bible readings are projected on the screen as they are read.

Some pointers for finding things in the Bible: the contents page lists the books of the Bible (e.g. Genesis, Mark or 1 Corinthians) and the page number. Bible references follow the pattern: book chapter:verse (e.g. John 3:16). Chapters have large numbers and verse numbers are small and in between the sentences and words.

One of the great things about church is that people who don’t normally fit together do. We’re a family. So whoever you are, we want you to know that our church is a place you can belong, even if you feel like you’re different. Sometimes it can just take a little while to feel at home!

The toilets are accessed from the foyer. They are to your left as you walk in the building.

The quiet room is a room which is separate to, but attached to the auditorium. It is available for you to sit in while you calm, change or feed a child and yet remain part of the service. It can be entered off the foyer – to the left as you enter the building, or right as you exit the auditorium. If your kids are a little noisy, don’t worry about it! Stay with them in the service as long as you feel comfortable.

Sure! If you want to sit on an aisle somewhere and have the pram next to you, that’s fine. Equally, if you would prefer, you can leave it up the back while the service is on.

On Sunday mornings we run a program for children ranging from creche age – teens. Here kids have the opportunity to learn about God in a creative, engaging and safe environment.

Kids sit in during the first part of the church service with their parents/carers, and then go to the demountable at the back of the church building with their leaders.

Have a baby? We are a church that loves hearing babies making noise in church so you do not need to worry if you have a baby in the service, however if required, there is also a quiet room with baby-changing and breastfeeding facilities where you can still view and hear the service.

While our Lead Pastor has the title of Reverend, we all call him by his first name, and he’s quite happy with that! You can call all our staff by name. We have a staff page where you can find out who they are.

If you have a question during the sermon you might have an opportunity to ask the preacher afterwards if they allow for question time. If you don’t feel comfortable speaking in that context, you can either ask someone you feel comfortable talking to after the service, talk to the preacher after the service or write your question on the connect card. The connect card comes with the bulletin that you are given as you enter the building. You can put it in the offertory box at the end of the service, or hand it straight to our Lead Pastor. Regardless of how we receive these cards, only the Pastor reads them.

You don’t have to be a Christian to come to church. Whatever your reason for coming along, you’re welcome. If you have questions or are looking for something in particular we’d love to help, so please share that with someone. Even if you’re not exactly sure why you want to visit, you can just come along and see if you find out.

About once a month in our services we do Holy Communion where we share bread and wine (i.e. grape juice) to remember the sacrifice Jesus has made on the cross for our sins. This is led from the front and the bread and wine are distributed amongst the sitting congregation. If you are not yet a Christian, don’t quite understand what it is all about or feel it would be against your conscience to participate, please feel free to let the bread and wine pass you by during this time.

Normally people sing, following the words of the song on the projector screen. If you’re uncomfortable singing the words, you can stand with everyone else but remain silent. If you’re not sure about Christianity or whether you agree with the prayers or responses that we say aloud together, you don’t have to say them. However if you’d like to join in, that’s ok.

If you’re visiting, we don’t expect you to donate any money, so please don’t feel like you have to or should give. Normally our members give some money to our church to help pay for what is needed to keep it going and help the work that is done here grow.

For parents who are Christians, there is a baptism service. As part of this, parents profess their faith in Christ as part of their promises for the upbringing of their child. There is also a thanksgiving service we can perform where parents can publicly name their child and ask for God’s blessing for him or her.
